Avast Premium Security for Windows is a comprehensive security application that helps block viruses, spyware, and other malicious threats. Additionally, it helps protect you and your data against dangerous fake websites, ransomware, and hackers while you are online.

Avast Premium Security is a paid app that requires a subscription to use. This article contains instructions to install the application and either activate the application with an existing subscription, or start a free-trial period.

NOTE:A payment method is required to sign up for a free trial. When the trial ends, your paid subscription starts, unless cancelled before.
Install Avast Premium Security
Step 1: Click here to download the Avast Premium Security setup file, and save it to a familiar location on your PC (by default, downloaded files are saved to your Downloads folder).

Step 2: Right-click the downloaded setup file avast_premium_security_setup_online.exe and select Run as administrator from the context menu.

Step 3: If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.

Step 4: To change the default setup language, click the current language in the top-right corner of the screen and select your preferred language. Next, click Install to proceed with default installation. Optionally, click Customize if you need to make changes to the default setup.

Step 5: Wait while setup installs Avast Premium Security on your PC.

Step 6: When the installation is complete, click Get started.

Step 7: Start free trial: If you do not yet have a paid Avast Premium Security subscription, start a free trial to enjoy access to paid app features for a limited time period.

Step 8: Click Run first scan to start a comprehensive Smart Scan, which detects viruses, malware, bad browser add-ons, and other issues on your PC.

Avast Premium Security is now installed, but some components may not fully function until you restart your PC.

How to Activate Avast Premium Security

Locate your activation code. The code is included in your order confirmation email.
Step 1: Open Avast Premium Security, then go to Menu, then Enter activation code.

Step 2: Type or paste your activation code into the text box, then click Enter.

Step 3: If more than one product is associated with your activation code, ensure the products you want to use are selected, then click Activate & install.
